The line up
Damien Nettles
Presented by Deadman Theatre
Deadman’s new production exploring the story of Damien Nettles. A young boy who disappeared in Cowes in 1996, widely believed to be connected to local drug dealers. This is a thematic follow up to our first theatre production The Freshwater Five, continuing our work looking at drugs in coastal communities. Continuing to shed light on the dark underbelly of our coastal communities.
Belly Flop
Presented by Sam Gilroy
Belly Flop is a vibrant and heartwarming solo about becoming a working mother. This comedy-dance-theatre show draws comparisons between Sam’s dance training and her own experience of matrescence—the powerful, transformative journey of becoming a parent, that is as big a change as adolescence.
Sexy But Psycho
Presented by Lucy Mellors
Why on earth is Lucy Mellors unmarried? She’s so very ACCOMPLISHED.
Is it because Baroque violin and Regency dancing skills mean NOTHING these days?
Is it because no one compares to her cat?
Is it because she’s terrified of everyone?
This might be Lu’s new show. Love. Power. Trauma. Taylor Swift. Cats. What’s not to love?
Girls Will Be Girls
Presented by GASP! Theatre
‘Girls Will Be Girls’ dives into the antics of a struggling bar. The matriarch and determined manager, Cheryl, resorts to unconventional methods for survival; such as running a top secret, illegal strip club, conning punters and taking advantage of her staff.
A lively team of bartenders and power-hungry bouncers encounter a mix of colourful patrons, all multi-rolled by the cast of four.
Ms D’ Meaner
Presented by Nathalie Brandon
This narcissistic know-it-all drama teacher is holding auditions and you never know who will end up in her spotlight. A work in progress solo show.
