Brooks Macdonald supports MAST’s Community First Night Scheme

Our Community First Nights scheme is designed to connect with communities who are facing barriers to participating in arts and culture activities.

The scheme’s structure of offering a backstage tour of one of our venues, as well as offering tickets to two performances across either MAST Mayflower Studios or Mayflower Theatre for a small nominal fee enables us to make theatre accessible for these communities.

The scheme provides dynamic and innovative arts-based opportunities to young people, schools and community groups. With support from our Mayflower Engage team, groups find out more about what they can expect from a night at the theatre, how we put on a show and what wider participation opportunities they can get involved with across our venues.

We are proud to work in partnership with many local businesses who want to support our work, and we are delighted that Brooks Macdonald – a leading provider of financial advice, investments and wealth management – was keen to contribute towards the local community by aligning their brand with Mayflower Engage and in particular the Community Programme.

We rely on the generous support of our sponsors and donors to achieve our work around Performance, Participation and Creation. If you’d like to find out more about our sponsorship opportunities, please check out our sponsorship page on our website.

Brooks Macdonald has given us key financial support to enable our Community First Night Scheme to continue this year. Through this scheme we work with groups who would not otherwise get involved in the arts and for whom cultural engagement can make a fundamental difference to their lives. It has been brilliant for us to work with Brooks Macdonald as their commitment to the local community so keenly aligns with our own. We hope to be able to work together more in the coming years.

– MAST Mayflower Studios Executive Director, Sara Scott.

Common to all our offices is the role we want to play in supporting local communities. Our sponsorship of the MAST Community First Night Scheme is a wonderful way for us to do this. We look forward to supporting this exciting community project and, of course, to sharing many magical nights at the theatre!”
