Celebrate a loved one and dedicate a seat plaque
A unique gift, seat plaques in Mayflower Theatre Auditorium are a wonderful way to celebrate a special occasion or show dedication to a loved one.
Your dedication can be up to 80 characters long and could credit, for example:
- your name
- a family member
- a message in memoriam
- support for the theatre
- a favourite memory
- your business or community group

Pricing and payment
Seat plaques in the Stalls are available with a donation between £350 and £500*; and in the Circle (which includes the boxes) between £250 and £2,000.
You can choose whether to make a one-off payment, or to sign up to a 3-month payment plan. This payment plan splits the total into three equal payments: a third of the total amount is payable today, a third is payable on the last day of next month, and the balance is due on the last day of the following month. Your card details will be stored securely for this purpose.
* The donation amount will be dependent on the location of the chosen seat in the auditiorium.
What happens
When you are ready to make your dedication, click on the button below. You will be taken to our auditorium seat plan, where you can pick an area of the house, and select the seat – or box – that you want. Remember that the seat plaques are placed on the back of the seat chosen, so will be visible to the row behind it.
Once you have completed your payment, you will be sent a link to a form where you will provide us with the message you want inscribed. A message can be up to 80 characters.
Once your seat plaque has been made and placed in the auditorium, one of our dedicated seat plaque team will be in touch to organise a date for you to visit.

As an independent and unsubsidised charitable Trust we rely on the support of our loyal audience. By dedicating a plaque you will be helping to preserve the theatre for future generations and supporting the development of our community and education programme. Thank you.
We will contact you ahead of the ten year anniversary of your plaque being in our auditorium. You may choose to renew your dedication for a further ten years; else we shall arrange for your plaque to be delivered to you to keep.
Our plaques are crafted from brass by local company P.J Drew (Engravers) Ltd; with the inscription set in Gothic typeface.
We advise that the process can take up to two weeks from order to placement.
Purchasing a seat plaque does not automatically entitle you to book the seat for shows.
