Changes to local parking
Unfortunately, Southampton City Council has recently ended the free car parking that used to be offered in the evenings at Council-run car parks such as West Park Road and Grosvenor Square.
The daytime charging period now continues to 6.00pm, and after this overnight parking charges apply between 6:00pm and 5:00am in all council owned multi-storey car parks. These are: Up to one hour £1; up to two hours £2, and over two hours £3.
This 24-hour charging does not apply to on-street bays and Grosvenor Square forecourt.
Car Parking near The Mayflower
The theatre regretfully has no on site parking, although a small number of on-street parking spaces are available opposite, and a short distance further down Commercial Road are two small car parks (early arrival is recommended).
Larger multi-storey car parks (Grosvenor Square and West Park Road) are close by, and there is also parking at Southbrook Road next to Southampton Central railway station. This map shows the main car parks near to The Mayflower. Click on the P signs to view information about the car park.
